T10 Holy Priest Set bonuses

•2 piece bonus - After your Pain Suppression and Guardian Spirit talents expire on your target, they grant your target 10% increased healing received for 10 sec.

•4 piece bonus - Your Flash Heal spell has a 15% chance to reset the cooldown on your Circle of Healing and Penance Spells

I think we're getting stealthed nerfed by making our set bonuses increasingly useless with each tier.

With T9 I was only shooting for 2+ pieces**. With T10, I think I'll shoot for 0+.

** I ended up with 4 because Tier gear is still easier to get than non-tier cloth. (I blame cloth-wearing druids and having to share loot with mages/locks)

10% increased healing taken for 10 seconds... thats not bad at all. A good DK could stack that with the blood tap buff (12% less damage taken for 10 second) and that's like another Vampiric blood (lol-last stand) for 10 seconds. I think these bonuses are designed to extend cooldowns... Hard hitting bosses / a whole bunch of panic situations inc?

If I put up GS for the 100% healing buff, the trailing 10% is underwhelming (and the burst period is probably over anyway).
If I put up GS to save a life, 3 other healers also see the person near death and have a 21k worth of healing already queued up.

Not sure if you've seen the new priest tier bonuses so here they are:

Priest


2 piece bonus - Your Flash Heal critical strikes cause the target to heal for 25% of the healed amount over 9 sec.
4 piece bonus - Your Circle of Healing and Penance spells have a 20% chance to cause your next Flash Heal cast within 6 sec to reset the cooldown on your Circle of Healing and Penance spells.



2pct10 is pretty bad for holy but seems quite amazing for disc. The 4pc is probably bad for holy, but again, great for disc. If you subtract the gcd from the 6sec CD on CoH and the GCD used for flash of light, the 4pc is only reducing the CD by 3 seconds. That's assuming you even FoL instead of casting 2 serendipity PoH/PoM during that time. But the fact that Tier gear scales better now (ie tier gear in ulduar was many itemlevels below the hardmode drops, which isn't the case anymore) free set bonus is free? lol

I do agree here the set bonuses in the past we have gotten have lead to nurfs so now I really think that they are aiming for useless. The poh tier buff/patch nurf is prime example of this. I think 4 piece should be along the lines of your gs/ps increases your total sp by x amount for x seconds would be a better fit with some of the other bonuses going out but at this point who can read bliz minds when it comes to priest.
